A blog on reality TV, and some other stuff.
Sorry folks. I'm trying to get a more meaty, or if you are a vegetarian, lentilfull, blog post up, but I'm a bit pressed for time. Don't get me wrong, it's a good pressing. All the kids are home, so we are having great fun playing Telestration, Canasta and Sentinels of the Multiverse (No, my family has never played one of my own designs with me.). The family coined a new word. If you are a jerk while playing Canasta, you are a Canasshole. Yesterday we also took in Kick Ass 2, which I had heard wasn't as good as the first, but turned
out to be quite a lot of fun.
Of course you need to throw a dollop of work into the mix. Being an independent businessman, freelancer, and long-time entrepreneur, there really aren't any complete days off. With the kids home, I try to keep on stuff before everyone gets up.
While I have a few extra seconds, I do want to put in a plug for my friend Byron Collins and his Kickstarter project, Spearpoint 1943: Eastern Front. It's a conflict-focused strategy-based card game. At least that's the tongue-twisting verbiage I'll use for non war gamers. For war gamers... is a war game card game.
I always have some concern about posting war game-related stuff on the blog. Many of you are gamers, war gamers even, but I guess I feel that those that aren't will get the impression that I'm a warmonger, or whatever. Of course nothing could be further than the truth. No one gets hurt playing cards, or pushing cardboard chits on a game board. Still, however, there is a bit of a stigma. Funny how there is no stigma associated with folks that watch brain dead reality TV, much of which is based on people being mean to people. Go figure.
