Why Does This Cover Suck?

Well, I can't really think of a reason. My nine readers will remember that I posted three possible covers for "Elevator," my short story that releases tomorrow. I asked for input. Well, the response has been overwhelming. My inbox is flooded, literary forums are buzzing, and one enterprising pilot even wrote his (her?) selection in the sky.

Of course none of that is true. But I did choose this as the short story's cover. After all, I can't see anything wrong with it. Summer? Check. Beach? Check. Pretty girl in a bikini? Check and check. So there you have it. I can't think of reason this cover sucks.

The story ain't half bad either. It's a short, so there is only so much that I can say without giving it all away. Suffice to say it's about a man, a woman, and an elevator. And no, it's not erotica. It is, however, fun. Available tomorrow.

Mark H. Walker served 23 years in the United States Navy, most of them as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal diver, he is the author of Desert Moon, an exciting mecha, military scifi novel with a twist, as well as World at War: Revelation, a creepy, military action, with a love story, alternate history, World War Three novel thing, and numerous short stories. They are all available from Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing right here. Give them a try. I mean, what the hell?
