On Verbs, Vowels, and Mexican Mecha
Monster movies, comic book movies, horror movies, just plain awesome movies are so rarely about who is in them. It is WHAT is in them, and more importantly who created them. And one of my favorite creators is Guillermo del Toro. When he creates, I listen, watch, read, whatever. Doesn't matter if it is a gritty series of vampire novels, such as The Strain, an epic fantasy like Pan's Labyrinth, or the subject of today'c collection of verbs and vowels, Pacific Rim. 'Mechs (if you call them robots you don't have a follicle on your fanny) vs. giant monsters. Could it get any better? God, I love this guy. Bask in the video awesomeness below.
