Cards of Man, a Look at the Driving Force Behind Night of Man
So, I wanted to give you all a look at the cards used to drive Night of Man. These are preliminary, but much better than the hand-drawn versions that I've been using to play the game with my friends.
BTW, notice how I avoided the overused-till-I-think-I'm-going-to-spew-chunks-every-time-I-hear-it phrase, "Sneak Peek". Really? You're sneaking a peek to the TWO BILLION people who use the Internet everyday? Anyway, rant aside...
Mark H. Walker served 23 years in the United States Navy, most of them as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal diver, he is the author of Desert Moon, an exciting mecha, military scifi novel with a twist, with plenty of damn science fiction in it despite what any reviewer says, as well as World at War: Revelation, a creepy, military action, with a love story, alternate history, World War Three novel thing, Everyone Dies in the End, and numerous short stories. They are all available from Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing right here. Give them a try. I mean, what the hell? Oh yeah, I've designed a couple of games to boot.

Playing the above card will allow the player to take a Fire or Move action with one unit. Multiple units can fire, but we'll get into that on another day. The green icons indicate that these are indeed actions. The "Miss" in the lower left indicates that if this card was drawn as a to hit card in vehicle combat the result would be an automatic miss.
The number in the right box is a penetration number, the "Hit" means that in HE combat, against soft targets, this card would be a hit.
Again the green icons means that these are actions that the owning player does in his impulse. This card could be played to move a unit, or by using the Bloodlust action, Rally a unit. Normally rallying a unit marks it Ops Complete, Bloodlust let's you ignore that, allowing it to act later in the turn. The "Turret Hit" in the left hand box means that if dran as a to hit card, and the "8" caused a hit, it would be a turret hit.
Here we a reaction, color coded red. You can also play the support action, Critical Hit, which improves your chance of destroying your target after hitting it.
Alright guys and gals that's about it for today. Stay tuned for more information on my latest favorite game.
