Lock 'n Load World. Final Day.
Last day here in Seattle .
It's been a blast. I've played four scenarios of Lock 'n Load Heroes of the
Pacific, learned and played Breaking the Chains (good system, second scenario
leaves something to be desired), learned and played our own Blackwell's
Falling Stars, which is an epic space combat game, and ran through a game
Dungeon Command with Vance Strickland. If you have any interest in fantasy
skirmishes, Dungeon Command is a must.
Saturday night we had what will become an annual event--the
Game of Heroes. Eight of us choose a Lock 'n Load hero, and battled to the
death on the Day of Heroes map. Tyler Roush won (If I remember correctly). Anyway,
it's a great con, growing every year. The founder, Jeff Newell, is debating
capping the attendance at 110. I think that is a good idea. The world has
plenty of huge gaming conventions, good ones, like this, are much rarer.
