Stuff to Know: On a Talented yet Modest QB, a Demon's Third Iteration, The Best Detective, and an Aging ex-Representative.

It's been awhile since I listed what we should all be aware of. Let the while no longer be "a".

Jamies Winston. In a young college football season cluttered by the antics and questionable skills of Johnny Manziel, Jamies Winston is a breath of modest, yet ebullient air. The young freshman quarterback went 25-27 against Pitt, amassing a gazillion yards passing, and a bucketful of touchdowns. He credited his offensive line, was excited that his family could see him play. Do I sense a solid upbringing here?

Diablo 3. Yeah, it's been out since 2012 for the PC, but the third installment of the most famous dungeon crawl of our times makes it's console debut today. Already the best selling PC game of 2012 (over 12 million copies), the console version should double that number.

Jack Nightingale. Not a real person, but more interesting than most. Nightingale is a irreverent former London policeman-turned-private-eye, who becomes deeply involved in the paranormal while investigating the strange death of his father. Written by Stephen Leather, each of the books is an enthralling page turner with just a twist of humor.

Syria (yet again). Ron Paul says it all. “I disagree with the idea that every conflict, every dictator, and every insurgency everywhere in the world is somehow critical to our national security.”

See you tomorrow.
