Is it Quasi?
Alright folks, everyone stop with the incessant phone calls, emails, and skywriting. Here's another blog post for you. After all, I did say semi quasi (Just in case you are reading this in the preview panel, "semi" is lined out... sort of like a joke).
Last day at the World Boardgame Championships (WBC). I'm not really sure how to
describe this convention. To many it is the best of its type. On the other hand, there are thirty-thousand folks attending Gencon that would argue the point.
I do believe WBC has the best open gaming facilities and participants. I've spent the last two nights there, gaming until almost midnight, a fact that would astound my non-gamer friends (I'm often in bed by 9PM). There is almost a concert-like energy to the room. A hundred tables jammed with (mostly) well-washed gamers, laughing, yelping when the die rolls badly, hooting when the ivories fall in their favor. Good times, more passion that you'll catch in 10,000 a million people staring at the TV.
Wanted to share this video. Peter Bogdasarian designs for Lock 'n Load Publishing but also works on these Incursion games. Looks damn cool.
Back in Virginia tomorrow.
