I'm an enthusiastic backer of the Women in Practical Armor Kickstarter. This has been a pet peeve of mine since, well... I guess since I grew up, got married and worked with my wife to raise three, fantastic daughters. But mainly since I grew up.
Of course I'm a huge science fiction, superhero, and to some extent fantasy, fan, but I always thought it a bit silly that our male heroes dress in full body armor, while women wear bikinis. See My Superheroine Fantasy.
Hey, the heterosexual male part of me gets it. Women are beautiful, but there's no reason they can not only be beautiful, and smart enough to wear full body armor. Anyway, if you love medieval fantasy or just want to support a worthwhile project, check this out.
