The Saturday Shorts
It's the Saturday Shorts. I just made that up, and I hope
someone will stop me before I name every post of the week. This is the, "Wow,
that's surprising edition."
Watched Warm Bodies last night. Oddly enough (is that a
legit introductory clause?), I thought it was great. Girl meets zombie, zombie
falls for girl, father has a problem with girl's zombie boyfriend, and then the
zombie apocalypse is stopped by love. Sounds terrible, but wasn't. A world
saved by love. Nice thought, no?
Surprise number two. Mad Men actually had a small shadow of
a plot this season. As the eighty-nine gazillion women, and three men, who
watch it will testify, most episodes revolve around Don Draper bedding anything
that wears a skirt. The season ended last Sunday, and it hinted at a complete
change in Don. It was almost watchable.
Gecko shorts. Went shopping yesterday, and surprised myself
by buying a pair of khaki shorts with geckos, or maybe just green lizards,
crawling all over them. I tire of the
middle-aged man's khaki-shorts-and-polo uniform, so I decided to spruce it up.
I'm also not wearing a shirt until October. Just kidding. Seriously.
I hope to get to the kitten picture tomorrow.
