Yes, I'm Alive. Very Alive and Here's a List of Stuff We're Working on and Some Board Game Podcasts
I crack myself up. Those who follow me and/or my board game company, Flying Pig Games, know that I have a hell of a lot of irons in the fire. Furthermore they are all ripening at the same time. Mixed analogies aside, I/we (depending on the project) are currently supporting a funded Kickstarter campaign for a new tactical game system, Old School Tactical, pushing desperately to finish our other Kickstarter campaign, Night of Man, and working with Greg Porter on Armageddon War, our near-future platoon-level combat game thing.
Oh yeah, did I mention that we are now shipping issue #1 of Yaah! magazine, about three months after founding the company. Thanks to Tom Russel, Gabriel, and the treasure trove of contributors here for all their help. I'm immensely proud of them, and of the magazine. The articles are absorbing, and the two games--Stamford Bridge and a Hill Near Hastings--are great fun. Tom Russell is simply the best editor that I have ever worked with, passionate about games, hard-working, and easy to get along with.
Soon we hope to announce a cooperative effort with an established company, and a pair of new games. That's the goal, six games released, four magazines released, in year one. And I almost forgot. The 2nd edition of Revelation, my gritty military horror novel about the beginning of the Third World War, will be released on Amazon this month, Twisted War, my collection of military horror short stories, illustrated by a clutch of famous authors, goes live on Indiegogo soon (they are better than Kickstarter for books), and Retribution, the sequel to Revelation is 83.7 percent complete.
Why do all this?
Why not? I'm gonna be here all my life anyway.
Oh, and here's a link to board gaming podcasts on the Internet.
