To Hell with History, Check These Out

Busy day today, so this blog is short on words, but long on a couple of exciting pictures. I design games. I bet that most of you know that. Many of you have played them. Historical fair such as Forgotten Heroes or White Star Rising. I also love science fiction. Those that have gamed with me might even say that science fiction games are my first love. Not silly stuff like Twilight Imperium, where you spend an entire game building a force for one, climatic battle, but gritty, ground pounding games, such as Grunt, or my own War of the Worlds (not yet published) design.

Here are the counters from my latest science fiction design. Titled Night of Man, it is a card-driven, tactical game that details the battles fought on planet Earth between the... well, I'll leave that for a post later on this week. For now, enjoy the art.

I'm thinking...Rivets by Metagaming. Not as rehash, of course :-)

Mark - I'm certainly interested in seeing/hearing more about this game. Those counters look pretty cool and I've been trying to figure out what stats the numbers represent. The lower right (arrow) is movement, the mid right (fire burst) is some sort of firepower indicator. I'm guessing the lower left (metal) is something to do with armor. Anyway, I may be way off, but I'm intrigued anyway.

Top left is an accuracy modifier. Lower left is armor. Top right is AP, mid-right is HE, bottom right is movement. :-)

I'll try to put up more this week. I kind of have a list of posts that I want to get through this week. Some of the units can execute special actions/abilities, and these are denoted on the counters. Maybe I'll post a couple more pictures later.
