War is Hell... and scary too.
Military horror is becoming a thing, and that's good news. A lot, I mean a lot, of what I write is military horror. It's interesting that when I first wrote Revelation, I didn't know there was a genre for it. I mean gritty tank battles, mixed with gruesome horror? WTF? (Why the Face). Now I realize that I'm not the only one who has these strange story ideas. In fact, someone has written a blog discussing it. I wanted to share that blog with you today.
Penned by Mike Bracken, it covers some of the best military horror films out there. Of course the genre covers much more than film. There are military horror novels, such as my own Revelation or Adam Baker's Juggernaut, and a plethora of military horror games, both video and board. But for now sit back, or you can stand, if you like, and give Bracken's blog a read.
Oh yeah, I've started a military horror Facebook page. More or less for fun, it's for fans of the genre. You can find it here. Go give it a like, and I'll try to keep you updated on what's going on in the genre.
Mark H. Walker served 23 years in the United States Navy, most of them as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal diver, he is the author of Desert Moon, an exciting mecha, military scifi novel with a twist, with plenty of damn science fiction in it despite what any reviewer says, as well as World at War: Revelation, a creepy, military action, with a love story, alternate history, World War Three novel thing, and numerous short stories. They are all available from Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing right here. Give them a try. I mean, what the hell?

You assume we had visibility when we dove. Most times it was like spray painting your mask lens black and then shutting yourself in a closet. :-) Seriously, that might make a great story.
