Julie & Julia

So, I’m going to give it a shot. Riveting first words, aren’t they? I mean after 19 years, 40-some published non-fiction books, and one self-published Novel, I watched Julie & Julia. There I discovered that you need not work hard, refine your craft and self-promote, but only write a daily blog for a few months, and the publishing offers will pour in. Okay, I’m game.

I completed The Rising last week. Exciting stuff, but I discovered in the latest Sci-Fi Book Club flyer that the title has been taken. Bummer.

My company, Lock ‘n Load Publishing (game publishing) also has a game in the works by that title. Double bummer. So, for right now I’ll call it that Strange-World-War-III-Book-That-Also-Has-Creepy-Stuff. Unless, of course, any of my three readers has a suggestion. That silence you can’t hear is the cocking of my ear.

Publishers wishing to offer me lucrative book deals can contact me via the supplied link. Hey, it worked for Julia. By the way, Amy Adams was much better in Sunshine Cleaning, but then again, Sunshine Cleaning had a plot.

See you tomorrow.
